Today, we have built a monument of honor for our brave athletes who have won gold medals for Ethiopia in the world sports arena and inaugurated the first of its kind "New Sports Park" in the presence of our Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Honorable First Lady Znash Tayah and our brave athletes. This park, which rests on 5.7 hectares of land in the heart of our city; It is a big center where we can build tomorrow's Ethiopia with a physically and morally healthy generation that includes all kinds of sports. The project is a gift that brings honor to our brave athletes, hope to our youth and happiness to our children. Where the honor of our heroes will be alive; The statue of honor for each of our 15 all-time gem athletes who made Ethiopia famous on the world stage and won gold medals at the Olympic stage; It is a great motivation to thank our heroes and to say "it is possible" to our successors. The park is designed to suit all segments of society and includes: • Professionals and youth: Olympic-standard swimming pool; It includes football, basketball, handball and tennis courts. It also includes a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor gym, a wellness center and an 800-meter running track to make sports a regular part of life. • For children and teenagers: modern and traditional playgrounds, swimming pools and sand sports fields prepared according to their age; Our children are designed to grow physically and mentally.
