Citizen-oriented diplomacy that puts Ethiopians first... Addis Ababa, March 22, 2018 (FMC) The ``citizen-oriented diplomacy'' that put citizens first during the years of change has achieved other results. Before the change, many references can be made to the fact that Ethiopians in foreign countries had a government that had no eyes or ears to speak to them. For example, it can be mentioned that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) visited different countries for an official visit to see what the living conditions of Ethiopians are like in different countries. They encourage those who lead a successful life in their country and help them find solutions to their problems. The Prime Minister showed the government's high respect for the citizen by bringing back those who were in the worst life situations, including going to jail, to return to their country. The government of change is playing a major role in reducing the risk exposure by making legal agreements with the governments of the countries so that the citizens can go and work in foreign countries, especially in the Middle East countries. In this way, citizens are being protected so that they can help themselves and their families while their rights and safety are protected. In the past years, many institutions have worked together to allow thousands of citizens who were in trouble in the Middle East to enter the country. In particular, the effort made to return 70 thousand Ethiopians who are in different detention centers in Saudi Arabia for three consecutive months starting from April 4, 2016 and the recorded results are mentioned as an example. In this way, citizens are not only allowed to return to their country, but they are supported and monitored to ensure that their lives are on a sustainable path. It is being done for them.
